I thought that Indians would regard this new year as epoch-making. But nothing such happened. Actually , I was living in utopia and forgot that leaders who are nothing but maggot and national honchos will remain the same. There was a spurt in basic commodities.People were facing back-breaking prices.
I went to my Nani's house to take temporary refuge but to no avail. The news in national dailies followed me everywhere.I am a patriotic Indian, so I usually get dejected by what is happening in my nation. The impecunious are facing the brunt. Naxalites are showing no signs of retreat. Government is committing more atrocities on us than by the antisocial elements. I don't want to sound like a naysayer, but circumstances are forcing me to sound like one.
Well, as they say:Hope floats. But who are 'they' here. Must be the those writers who cocoon themselves from the realities of life, hoping that everything will return to some semblance of normalcy for their own good.
People's memory is famously short-lived. They themselves are responsible for their own plight. The biggest menace in this nation is the religion. I am sorry to think so but this is the naked reality. They can be easily polarised and still don't give two hoots to their social welfare. The result : their conditions remain abysmal and abominable. So what is the solution to eliminate this malaise?I feel that ethical education combined with a scientific education is the only answer. Lack of money should never be the stumbling block, because a nation where the leaders can embezzle, billions and trillions of rupees every year, such excuses will be regarded as threadbare.
We shall overcome every difficulty ...
